Building Financial Clarity Through Comparative Intelligence
We started with a simple observation back in 2018. Business owners in Taiwan were drowning in financial data but starving for meaningful insights.
So we built something different—a platform that doesn't just crunch numbers but reveals patterns. That helps you see how your company stacks up against peers, spot opportunities others miss, and make decisions based on context rather than guesswork.
The Genesis of a Different Approach
Our founder, Linnea Svärd, spent eight years advising manufacturing companies on financial planning. Same problems kept surfacing. Companies had access to their own numbers but no benchmark. No reference point. They were flying blind, essentially.
The turning point came in early 2017 during a consultation with a textile manufacturer in Taichung. The CFO showed us their quarterly reports—solid margins, steady growth. But compared to industry standards? They were leaving significant value on the table in procurement alone.
That gap between internal perception and market reality bothered us. We spent the next year prototyping a comparative analysis system that pulls from multiple data sources, anonymizes company information, and surfaces actionable benchmarks.
By autumn 2018, we had our first live platform. Five pilot companies tested it through Q4. The feedback shaped everything we built afterward—less academic theory, more practical application.
What Drives Our Work
Context Over Numbers
Raw data tells you what happened. Context tells you what it means. We focus on the latter because that's where decisions get made. Your metrics matter most when viewed through the lens of market position and peer performance.
Transparency in Method
We document our analysis methodology publicly. If you want to know how we calculate industry benchmarks or normalize company data, we'll walk you through it. No black boxes. No proprietary magic formulas that can't be explained.
Practical Application
Analysis exists to inform action. Every report we generate includes specific recommendations tied to real operational levers. We don't just tell you where you stand—we map out potential paths forward based on what's worked for comparable companies.
Led By Experience, Built Through Iteration
Our approach to financial analysis comes from years of working directly with companies facing real challenges. Not theoretical problems—actual operational questions that needed answers by quarter end.

How We Built This
Starting with five pilot companies in late 2018, we refined our comparative framework through direct client feedback. Each quarterly cycle revealed gaps in our methodology—things we assumed would be useful but weren't, metrics that seemed secondary but turned out critical.
By mid 2020, we had a stable platform architecture. Then we spent 2021 expanding our industry coverage from manufacturing into professional services, retail, and technology sectors. Different industries need different benchmarks. That took time to get right.
Our Current Focus
As of early 2025, we're working on three main improvements:
- Enhanced real-time data integration that reduces lag between market shifts and benchmark updates
- Expanded regional analysis covering Southeast Asian markets beyond Taiwan
- Custom alert systems that flag significant deviation from peer performance patterns
- Interactive scenario modeling for merger and acquisition due diligence
Seven Years of Continuous Refinement
Platform Launch
Initial comparative analysis system goes live with five pilot companies across manufacturing sector. Focus on basic financial ratios and peer benchmarking.
Methodology Expansion
Added operational metrics beyond pure financials. Integrated supply chain efficiency measures and working capital optimization benchmarks based on client requests.
Industry Coverage Growth
Extended platform to professional services and retail sectors. Required complete recalibration of benchmark calculations to account for different business models.
Technology Integration
Built API connections with major accounting software platforms. Reduced manual data entry by roughly 70 percent and improved update frequency.
Regional Expansion
Launched operations covering Singapore and Malaysia markets. Required adjustments to comparative frameworks accounting for different regulatory environments.
Advanced Analytics Release
Rolling out predictive modeling tools in Q2 2025 that forecast peer performance trends based on historical patterns and current market indicators.
Our Analytical Framework
We built our comparative system around four core components. Each one addresses a specific gap we identified while working with clients who needed better context for their financial decisions.
Data Normalization
Companies report financials using different accounting standards and classifications. We standardize this data while preserving industry-specific nuances, creating truly comparable metrics across peer groups.
Peer Group Construction
Matching companies requires more than revenue brackets. We factor in business model, market position, growth stage, and operational characteristics to build meaningful comparison sets.
Trend Analysis
Point-in-time comparisons miss the trajectory. We track performance changes over rolling periods, showing whether gaps are widening or closing relative to peer movements.
Contextual Insights
Numbers need narrative. Our reports explain what drives observed differences—whether they stem from strategic choices, operational efficiency, or market positioning factors.
